Jet Black Pearl, sometimes known as Jetty Swart, flies back and forth between Europe and Oregon for her gigs. We are fortunate that she is going to take a different route and come back to our stage in Cotati, Ca. this coming August.
Jet Black Pearl has made a point of performing “outside of the box”. Her songwriting is special, whether the songs are about the love life of animals, or songs written just to take the edge off of life. She likes to combine songs about animals with the reality of our own lives….”menopause is just three eggs away”. Her music is always about a different way of looking at things.
One day Jetty might be playing the flute as Aunt Gertrude; in another lifetime taking singing lessons in India; or just playing the flute in Cuba. There is a sense of adventure in all the music she plays.
Fortunately for us, her accordion playing is superb whether it be to accompany herself singing Parisian songs amidst giant bubbles, or playing on our stage bringing big smiles to the whole audience.
Jet Black Pearl will be playing both days and there will be surprises in each performance.
