Dr. Forrest Cioppa has a practice of totally surprising us almost every year.. Out of the blue an envelope will show up with a check of $3,000.00 plus. He doesn’t announce it, forewarn us, or expect anything in return.. Forrest simply loves the Cotati Accordion Festival.
On one occasion Forrest did make a request. He asked if we could provide dance lessons in the polka tent. I believe I have arranged for that to happen this year. We hope to see you dancing this year Forrest!
I asked Oliver’s Markets to come aboard in 2005. Steve Maass not only agreed but gave us a multi-tiered sponsorship package.
Oliver’s Markets now sells our tickets at all four locations; puts up posters at each one; supplies us with all the chicken we need for the “Oliver’s Markets Hospitality Tent”; displays our promotional postcards; paints an accordion themed mural on their Cotati market window; allows accordion players to play at each location the Friday before the festival; and they donate over 25 cases of wine a year to our wine tent.
Their support has been full throttle for the last 19 years and we could not be more appreciative.
