Anaïs Bessières

Anaïs hails from Figeac, a medieval town in the Southwest of France. She has been playing the accordion since she was 9 years old. Her passion for the accordion was kindled by her grandparents who took her to dances every weekend.

She studied 8 years with Christian Llorens. Then, once she received her baccalaureate, she joined CNIMA (Centre National et International de Musique et d’Accordéon) the famous international accordion school in Auvergne founded and directed by Jacques Mornet and Natalie Boucheix.

In 2017, Ms. Bessières earned her DEM (Diplôme d’Etudes Musicales des conservatoires) with honors. She continues to develop her skills, and prepare for major world accordion competitions. 

Last year, she finished 4th at the Klingenthal International Competition in Germany. She plans to compete again this year at this prestigious event.

Anaïs participates in many galas and festivals and plays with several orchestra. Since September, she has been playing with the Fabien Perez orchestra based in Auvergne which performs throughout France.

On stage, her charisma, energy and broad smile are dazzling.
