Ljubinka Kulisic

Ljubinka Kulisic is a Serbian accordion artist. She began her musical education in Bosnia and Herzegovina at the age of eight where she had been noticed for her musical talents very early. She participated in various competitions and has won several international awards and fellowships.

Ljubinka is an internationally-recognized artist. She lived in Switzerland, Italy and Canada where she got her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in music performance. She is fluent in four languages: Italian, German, English and Serbian. Her education has been supported by Von Tobel and Gertrud Rüegg Fellowships.

She is known for interpretation of contemporary pieces written for accordion by composers such as: John Cage, Sofia Gubaidulina, Arne Nordheim, Frank Bedrossian, Luciano Berio. She is also working together with young composers on the creation of the new repertoire for her instrument.

Since 2012 Ljubinka has been engaged in music pedagogy and in 2014 she also earned Certificate of Advanced Studies in Music Pedagogy.

In 2015 & 2016 Ljubinka was engaged as a teaching assistant for the Contemporary Music Ensemble in the Faculty of Music at the University of Toronto in Canada.
