Sheri Mignano Crawford has played the festival on the main stage several times with Zighi Baci and started playing in the polka tent in 2021. You’ll dance to the famous waltzes from Parisian cafes, Viennese dance halls, and polkas from beer saloons. Plus, grab a partner for your favorite American pop tunes such as Tom Jones’ “Delilah” and Frankie Avalon’s “Venus.” Shostakovich’s “Jazz Suite” waltz, an Italian mazurka are mixed in with Argentine tangos. We keep everyone on their feet for a really great time and the kids love to improvise on the dance floor, too. It’s all about variety and fun.
Steve loves playing in the polka tent! A multi-talented bassist Steve Hansen grew up in Minnesota. While living in Italy he performed throughout Europe as a soloist with the U.S Navy NATO Band. During his time In New York City, he performed with Woody Allen, George Segal and Burl Ives, and was in an off-Broadway production with the New York Repertory Company and appeared in the Movie The Year of the Dragon. Steve is currently active as a bassist in the San Francisco Bay Area and overseas. Stop by and watch him stroke his upright bass while operating his percussive sidekick, the Hi-Hat.
