Pete Contino is an accordionist, vocalist, and drummer. His father was legendary accordionist Dick Contino. Pete started playing drums in his father’s band at a young age touring throughout the United States playing Italian Festivals and nightclubs. In addition to his father’s band, Pete has performed on the Las Vegas Strip in various shows including “Show in the Sky” inside The Rio Hotel, “House of Blues” inside Mandalay Bay, “Brendan’s Irish Pub” inside The Orleans Hotel, The Paris Hotel, and The Venetian Hotel. After a few years he formed his own group, fronting the band on accordion and vocals. The Pete Contino Band performed around the U.S. playing blues festivals and clubs, as well as internationally throughout Italy, Germany, The Netherlands, and Bulgaria.
A versatile and prolific producer, composer, and musician.
His style of music blends melodic fusion, americana blues rock and
jazz. In his 2017 release J. Jaffe and the Dark Room Band charted
and performed live.
Jaffe has been a session player on pedal steel, dobro, guitar, and
Mandolin as well as singing. He has recorded with a multitude of
Artists.
He has performed with Liz Kennedy, Maria Muldaur Roberta Donnay to
name a few. His Pedal steel was on the Marlboro Cowboy Commercials
in Europe. He has performed live in the Bohemian Grove with a 10-
piece group performing music from Central Valley Country artists at
the Grove and Club on pedal steel.
