Joey Matella is a 12-year-old and will be starting 7th grade at our Lady of Grace school in West Sacramento where he is an “A” honor roll student. Joey has been taking accordion lessons from Dave Chelini for four years. Joey enjoys playing his accordion regularly to entertain at church functions and at two local senior care centers. Joey is a member of the West Sacramento swim team where he is known as “Smokin Joey”. Joey broke the 11/12-year-old team breaststroke record this year; Joey also enjoys playing football and basketball in his free time.
