This month we donated $5,000.00 to the Thomas Page Academy(elementary school) Music Program. Besides paying for a music teacher for the second grade class, the funds are going to enable each class to take a turn at attending a musical show at the Luther Burbank Center this coming year.
We also donated $5,000.00 to the Cotati/Rohnert Park Education Foundation. This great organization funds so many special projects for our Cotati/Rohnert Park students, and we are fortunate to have a chance to support them.
This past week we also donated $5000.00 to the Cotati/Rohnert Park Nursery School Co-op. This not only enables us to support a great community institution, but it also enables us to recognize and acknowledge how much their school contributes to the community.
The other major music program that requires outside funding to produce their activities is the Rancho Cotati Music Program. This year we were able to donate $6,250.00 to their wonderful and comprehensive program spearheaded by our team member, Dustin Friel.
Many local nonprofits exist on donations in cash and in kind contributions. Five of the notable organizations/events that we were able to help out this year were the CMSA Bocce Ball Tournament; the Cotati Historical Society; the Sonoma County Farm Bureau( we have been a sponsor for some 15 years now), the Rohnert Park Rotary Crab Feed, and the Sharing of the Green(put on by the Cotati/Rohnert Park Education Foundation).
